Reine, Moskenes, Lofoten, Norway. December 2012.

Norway is wonderfully captured and portrayed for us in ~jonpacker's Reine. The warm lights contrast with the cold nature that we are faced with from sky to water, and the view is really breath-taking as we try to absorb everything in this stunning photograph. Hello, this beautiful photo has been featured in my latest edition of Travel The World:

The world offers so many breathtaking locations and places to see and not everyone is able to visit them in person. With this new feature series I invite you on a journey to discover and enjoy the beauty our planet offers. Let's travel the world!
LOFOTEN, NORWAY, EUROPE
The Lofoten consist of about 80 islands. They are located far north of the Arctic Circle but due to the Gulf Stream the clima is rather mild. Coming here, you will be entranced by majestic mountains, deep fjords, soft meadows and beautiful light.
Awesome shot! :3

Norway, is that the highway north of the city?
This is unbelievably beautiful : ) I love the contrast between the lights and the surrounding snowy mountains.
impressive contrast of civilization heat and ice nature.
From night to day... and day to night....
What's with the glowing Star of David?
I actually don't know. We saw a few of them around the place - I think it may have been something to do with Christmas. This was taken about a week before Christmas in 2012. I can't find any information on it on google though. Good question! Also, I was back in July this year and it was still there, but not lit up. So maybe it's a permanent kind of thing, but they light it up for christmas?
pick of the day's pic!
